FESTIVAL | MILKSHAKE FESTIVAL

Photo's| Tessa Bosma
One week later its time to look back at the 3d edition of Milkshake Festival.  The colorful festival that yet again took place in Amsterdam, in my opinion, is one of the few festivals left that truly celebrates diversity. This year again the festival managed to live up to its big expectations, providing a place where people can be totally themselves.  So without further ado here are some highlight moments of Milkshake Festival 2014.
Also don't forget to visit the MDFS facebookpage for more pictures of Milkshake Festival.

SHOW | MIRTE VAN WIJNGAARDE SS2015

Photo's | Me
On the 11th of July fashion designer Mirte van Wijngaarden presented her SS2015 menswear collection. The 27 year old designer, who is born in the always cheerful Breda, made her show all about the male transition from yought to maturity. Which -by the use of contrasting materials such as cotton, leather and even jute- in combination with manly over sized silhouettes mixed with more delicate and tailored fits created a interesting tension in the collection.

NEW IN | Adidas Sneakers ZX8000

Always on the search for exiting new shoes I stumbled upon these blue Adidas sneakers from winkelstraat.nl.  They emediatly appealed to me because of their mix between electric and cobalt blue. Usually I hate the narrow fit of Adidas sneakers but the fit of  these ZX8000 lucky isn't anything like that. What are your thoughts on these shoes?

LOOKBOOK | BALR. TRAVEL

I am the first to admit that my love for soccer is limited to the World Cup only but when soccer influenced fashion brand BALR. reveil their latest Travel Line, I have to admit I was pleasently surprised. The stylish collection is only available in Black and White,  timeless colors that go well with all most every outfit, something I like to keep in mind when buying luggage as it is a long term investment and I hate the idea of walking arround with mismatching luggage.

The pictures shot for the travel line, in my opinion turned out to look really cool and refreshing with ediorial worthy pictures as a result.

LOOKBOOK | Munsoo Kwon Spring/Summer 2015

Titled “Kite flies over Han River on a laze afternoon“ the Spring/Summer 2015 from South- Korean brand MUNSOO KWON is one with neatly tailored modern silhouettes that are practical; yet maintain his own distinctive design as we are used from the fairly new brand. Only started in 2012 with a Fall/Winter collection, the designer is already making an impact in the fashion world and this collection is no acceptation featuring his signature split-open details on the back and special pockets on shirts to create a coherent brand representation.

With the Han River and it's surroundings as a big influence for not only the collection but also the lookbook shoot, the collection featured architectural details of the bridges that run through the River and kyte references. The perfect mix between

PHOTOGRAPHY | Head in the Clouds

The skyline can be seen as the icon of a city, the embodying of many hopes and dreams. Of everyone who has ever thought about making it in the big city, where the pointy sky scrapers are reaching for the stars and dreams come true. While the buildings end up kissing the clouds and many dreams won’t last longer than a couple of years, the city and it’s skyline hold something enchanting and hopeful. A bitter sweet combination never found anywhere else.
